Why are moths so scray and vicious?

im serious i know this may sound stupid but the other day this very big fat moth was like flying towards me and i just kinda brush it away because i am scared of it and there kinda ugly, but anyways after i did that it flew like right in my face and start chasing after me, seriously, i now have a fear of moths.

  2. Moths are neither scary (I assume that's what you meant by 'scray') nor vicious. They are harmless insects that become disorientated when they blunder into houses - they don't know where they are or what's going on. Personally I think moths are one of the most attractive insects around. Obviously not everyone will agree with me on that point, but please believe me when I say you have no reason to be scared of them - they cannot bite or sting or harm you in any way, and the one you mention was certainly not chasing you intentionally. It was probably just randomly flying around and happened to bump into you - it wasn't being vicious. Think about it - you are thousands of times bigger than it is. Why would it purposefully go for something so much larger than itself, something potentially dangerous?
