Why are motorcycles allowed in the carpool lane?

I always see motorcylces flying by me. That's not fair. LOL

Motorcycles take up less room, use much less gas, and lighten up traffic congestion which is the whole point of the car pool lanes.

it's a reward  because they don't take up much space.  they are doing their part to relieve congestion..

- If a motorcyclist eats the road, you'll be happy that you're in a car
