Why are mushrooms growing in my houseplant, is it b/c the soil is too moist, I don't get it the plant has

never been outside, is it safe to touch, they smell moldy

  1. I am not sure why, but they grow in my houseplants, too!  They won't hurt you.... I just pull them out and throw them away.


  2. Thats the same with me! I guess you just pull them out!

  3. the spores (seeds) for fungus are in potting soil and when the plant is kept too wet and warm, too, they grow.... just remove them (put your hand in a baggie , grab them , pull them off, then pull the baggie off your hand and over the fungus) and throw them away and then let your plant's soil dry out a little  before watering it again.....
