Why are my Amitriptyline pills different colors?

I have been taking my pink pills, and when I got a refil on it they were blue. Is there something different about them?

  1. well i take amitriptyline and my pills have always been blue...did they change your perscription to a different dosage? that could be it  but i dunno....but as far as i know blue is okk..=D

  3. depends on what generic company the pills are from...

    if ever in doubt, call the pharmacy

  4. Many different manufacturers make medications, and they aren't all going to look the same.  If you went to a different pharmacy, it's possible they buy from a different company than the other pharmacy.  Or your pharmacy just switched suppliers.  But they're the same drug.  :-)
