Why do my Makie 450 Active (P A Loudspeaker)'s Thermal trip so much?

Is there a defect or anything? I've had it on a stand, 7 feet high, and it tripped. On the floor as a monitor and tripped, on the floor upright and tripped, and on a stand at face hieght tripped. IDK...

  1. definitely a defect, take it back if you still can

  2. Are you always on the same power source when it happens.  You could have "dirty" power with spikes and sags that cause it to trip.  I'd check the breaker after it trips, is it really hot?  Being hot means its drawing alot of current over a long period, a little spike will not produce so much heat.  Is this a thermal cutout or an actual fuse?

If it is getting hot and its a thermal cutout then your either overdriving it or its defective
