Question:

Why are my Quicktime movies from USB drive not working properly ?

I was running out of room on my hard drive so moved some of my little Quicktime movie files to a USB 2.0 Micro Drive. But when I try to watch them, they won't play properly - the sound keeps going but the picture freezes. They seem to work fine when I move them back to the hard drive. I am using Quicktime 7.5. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

  1. Your Micro is either to slow or your not running in USB 2.0 mode on the system your plugging into.

  2. Movies require high bandwidths .. your USB stick is too slow

If you are using a 'usb hub', try removing it and plugging the stick direct into the PC .. or move the stick to the another set of USB ports (move to front or back of PC ..)
