Why are my Tax Dollars being used to operate a Terrorist Training Camp?

Go to www.soaw.org to see what I'm talking about. Why do we as Americans let this happen?

I am a Vet, and very Patriotic - but what they are teaching and the outcomes of the education is NOT the Democracy I know...

Maybe you should consider that most of the accusations made against this school are propaganda?

Why don't you try presenting both sides of the issue to us and see if you can then justify your 'terrorist' claim.

One person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter.  Multifaceted issues like the ones faced in El Salvador have no simple answers.  That said, I'll give it a stab.

The School of the America's does train foreign nationals to fight.  My understanding is that America views the people these foreign nationals will fight against as having socialist or communist leanings.  As one of the leading forces for democracy in the world, America would naturally want to minimize those other ideologies.

Unfortunately, ideologies do not exist outside of flesh and blood people.  El Salvador has become one of the most violent places on earth, along side of Iraq and Columbia.  It would probably be a good thing if we could find a way to begin deescalation and bring peace to the region.

I agree that our foreign policy is flawed. The evidence is all around us if you look at history and what happens to other empires .

I checked out your link, I am for the right of citizens to protest US involvement in areas where we do not belong, but at the same time we cannot have people trespassing on our Military Bases, hopping fences and what not. 90 days, they got off lucky. Some got off with 30 one had only a fine.

My tax dollars are used to fund all sorts of things I hate. It's part of the whole package. When I get robbed by the U.S. government, I don't really ask where it's going any more. Stolen money is stolen money.

I fully support my tax dollars going to anything that kills South American commies, including an Ebola-spraying plane.
