Why are my biceps not seeing any results?

im 15 years old. I do weights with a 50 pound barbell on my biceps, i can do about 8-10 of these, I do about 4 sets. I also do my triceps, my chest, my legs and my shoulders. i have seen alot more definition in my triceps. The only difference i have seen in my biceps is more veins after 8 months of doing these excersises. i do them 3-5 times a week, i eat lots of protein, but my biceps are still very small just veiny. I know i do the right excersises and push myself completely, is there any other reasons i am not seeing bicep results or ways i can get them bigger. Thank you

  1. make sure you eat enough protein or you won't get anywhere. have protein shakes before and after you work out.  If you're after size lift more weight and do about 3 sets of 8-12.

  2. you're not increasing the weight.  try increasing the weight, and if you're naturally skinny you should be doing high weight low reps, like 3 sets of 4-6 reps on a very high weight.  the most important thing of all is to increase the weight, no matter how long you do the exercises you're not going to get much stronger if you don't increase the weight, you'll just maintain what you have.

  3. Agreed with Ethan.  You need to increase the weight to where you can only push out maybe 4 to 6 reps.  When you can again do 8 to 10 reps at that weight, then increase the weight again.

This applies to all body parts.

Another thing you can do to "fool" your muscles is to change out your exercises from time to time.  Your muscles get accustomed to the same exercise movements and the changes will help them develop faster.

For example if you are exercising your pecs, you might want to change from normal bench press to flyes or even to a weighted pushup.

  4. are you eating enough? most people call themselves "hardgainers" when In reality, they aren't eating merely enough to gain weight.I'm not big into bodybuilding or esthetic looks ,but you're lifting TOO much on biceps.Do a few exercises on bi's/trips in ONE day,and make them all freeweight. You won't grow if you lift 5 times a week.
