Why are my blue gouramis hiding?

My blue gouramis (male and female) are hiding down at the bottom of the tank and have been doing so for a while. What could be causing this? Other fish in the tank (55 gallons) include glow-light tetras, black neon tetras, and a pleco. Any information is appreciated!
