I just changed the pads and the rotors about 6-7 months ago. What could be the reason? What can I do to fix this problem?

  1. Dust on the brakes, maybe. Or, the pads may have wore down prematurely. You may want to check/have it checked.

  2. aftermarket brakes are notorious for squealing and squeaking. rust on the rotors will do it and yes might be time to change them out.

  3. Squeaking brakes are caused by high frequency vibration of the brake pad in the calliper. It depends on the design of the brakes on your particular application how to fix this. If the pads have "fingers" that hold them in place around the calliper, you need to crimp these tabs so they hold the calliper tighter. If there is a spring clip between the pad and calliper piston, it may need replacing. There are some anti-squeak compounds out there that are a rubbery silicone compound that tries to absorb the vibration, but they are not very effective and an absolute last resort.

Some pads are just very hard and will squeak regardless of what you do!   Good Luck!
