Why are my chocolate chip cookies sinking?

No matter how long I cook them they always sink as soon as they come out of the oven! I've also tried adding more baking soda and that didn't work either.

how much baking soda do you put do you put any baking pwdr?

ive never put baking soda in my choc chip cookies

did u put baking powder in. if not then try putting that in instead of baking soda. if yes then sorry i cant help

It is the fat you're using.  are you using oil or butter.  I prefer butter and I only use cold.  If you use oil make sure it is a solid, like Crisco.  

Take your cookies off the baking sheet as soon as they come out, transfer them to a baking rack (a couple of bucks at WalMart.  And never load up raw dough on a hot baking sheet, you should have at least 4 baking sheets, 2 in baking and two out (cool) that you load up with the raw dough ready to  go in.

I've had the same problem and I finally figured it out.

Use half butter and half margarine (I like Fleischmanns).

It worked for me!
