Do cows congregate in a circle shape when a storm is coming? Does it mean something? I have about 20 jersey cows and they are all forming a circle.

  1. They are staying warm, using each of their body heat to do this.

  2. You've heard of crop circles, right?  Well, this is in fact a new phenomena, the elusive "cow circle".

But seriously, that is kinda weird.  I guess they could be conserving body heat, but they wouldn't have to stand in a circle to do that.  Who knows?  Animals do the strangest things.

  3. simple answer: they having a good ole fashion pow wow

  4. If they are all looking inwards, they are probably crowding around something they are curious about. As you'd probably know, cows are very curious critters and crowd around things to look at them. Maybe, they just coincidentally ended up in a circle shape while they were crowding around to look at an object. Maybe it was a snake, rabbit or other small animal, or even a dead animal.

This is quite morbid, but a human body was actually discovered that way one time, here in Australia. A grazier saw his cattle crowded around something in the paddock, and he went to see what it was, and found a human body.

  5. no there just playing ring around the rosie

  6. If they are facing out a dog, bear, cat or coyote etc. is out there somewhere making them feel threatened.

  7. They are plotting against you.
