Why are my dogs so weird?

If they want to lay on their beds and the kong is on it...they don't move it out the way. They try to lay around it, then get all flustered and just lay on the floor.

What the heck?

Do your dogs move things out their way?

  1. 4 of my dogs are just like yours but Alexis, queen that she is will root things out of her way with her nose, like a pig.  Then she gives me a dirty look like I put it there

  2. Yes, if something is laying where Cubby wants to sleep, he'll grab it, rough it up for a minute or two and fling it across the room, then proceed to sleep where he had planned.

That's funny about your dogs.  They sound like characters, very entertaining I'm sure.

  3. well not with toys but this is funny i think i own a toy poodle who is 6 pounds and a rottweiler who is 103 pounds now they each have their own beds but ink the t poo always lays on brooklyns bed so it is a 42 inch long square bed brooklyn devises a plan each time to lay with her, she may bring a toy to ink or paw her until she moves a little so she can fit with her...inks small but she lays flat out in the middle of that dog bed its so funny in the end they both end up sleeping together.

  4. I thought men were lazy...but dogs take the prize in that catagory!! Both my dogs will do the same as yours...if something is there they will look at it, go around it, sniff it, try to lay around it, get up and look at it again and try to lay around it again....and finally lay somewhere else!! That is so funny that you asked that....I thought mine were the only screwballs!

  5. My dog sometimes does this, other times she will move the toys.  Who knows what goes through a dog's mind.  Maybe you could try moving it for your pals, and maybe they will get the idea that it is possible.

  6. Rocko lays on top of whatever is in his way. How did I learn this you might be asking?

I would come home from work and the Xbox was on. I hollered at Jon for leaving it on and he swore up and down that he didn't do it. Grumbling and unconvinced I told him I beleived him. A few days later, same thing happened! I raise holy h**l about it again. Once more, Jon denied leaving the xbox on, and once again I doubted him. About a month or so later, I am sitting on the couch and rocko goes over to "his" couch, aka the loveseat. The xbox controllers were sitting on the cushions, and he just laid down right on top of them, Lo and behold, a few minutes later the xbox popped into life. Thats when it dawned on me: My poor boyfriend not only has a nag of a girlfriend, but the dog was laying on the remotes and was pressing on the button that turns the unit on.

But yeah, my dog is weird too. And likes to turn things on and get Jon in trouble. =D

    edit:

YEP!! Just hold down the center button for 5 seconds and it goes on. However, I heard it was a ghost in your case! =P

  7. no my dogs dont but maybe dogs dont do that in order to snuggle with something b/c my dogs love to snuggle with me

  8. Nope. My dog just lays down right on top of it or growls at it until I move it for her. She never moves it herself.

  9. Nope, Eli won't move me, he just flops all 100 + pounds right on top of me.

I let them in our bed one night this week. He did exactly that, flopped right on top of me and was wiggling trying to get comfy. Chad was like "Eli, get off of Mama and get on the floor"...of course,  you know I scrunched up and made room for him to lie in bed.

If there is a toy or something, Eli pretty much plops down on it. Molly will try to get comfortable around whatever is there. I've never seen her move anything.

I'm glad we don't have an Xbox if they come preprogrammed with ghosts! If the Wii or PS3 start coming on for no good reason, I'm sending them to you or Amerz.

  10. Yep, Demon will move hubby over to get under the covers just right, if hubby does not scoot over, then Demon will stand up under the cover till he does scoot over..ever see a 16lb Min. Schnauzer move a 6'4'' man over, well he can do it.

    nudge, nudge, move it daddy.

Kiko will not lay down till my legs are situated and he can put his head on them..I have to move them out of the way, where he wants to sleep.

the other babies just drop and sleep, ha ha
