Question:

Why are my dreams going away?

About a month ago and before that I had these really vivid and detailed dreams, but now every time I go to sleep all there is, is blackness. Why have my dreams stopped and I only see blackness? Some people say dreams are you mind telling you what is going on with you, so does this blackness mean something?

Help please! I want my dreams back.

  1. You are still dreaming, around 7 dreams per night. You just don't remember them, but don't worry - everyone goes through periods like this, I'm sure it won't be long until you start to remember them again.

  2. You ALWAYS have dreams. Sometimes, you just don't remeber them. But you ALWAYS have them, no matter what. So this 'black' you are seeing, obviously is just a thought in your mind, it isn't actually yuor dream

  3. Are you getting enough hours of sleep.  The dreams we remember are usually closer to when our body is ready to wake up... maybe you aren't sleeping long enough....  Try going to be earlier if possible....

  4. i found this on a website:

    Blindness

Those that are literally blind cannot see the world around them. They can only perceive images with their mind's eye. When the dream is about being blind, the message is of a psychological and spiritual nature. Blindness in a dream suggests that the dreamer may be unwilling to see some aspect of his life. There may be a blind spot in the mind, heart and/or soul. The dreamer is threatened by the unconscious material being processed by the dream, and he cannot bring it to his conscious attention. The good news is that dreams are cyclical in nature. A message that cannot get through at the current time will repeat itself at a future date. The very central point of dreams is to make us aware of all aspects of ourselves and our lives. Enlightenment and integration of unconscious and conscious components take time and desire. What you cannot see in a dream currently will become visible when you are more able to effectively cope with the message. This definition also applies to darkness and sleep as dream symbols.

  5. Your dreams aren't going away I promise.  Everybody dreams EVERY single night no matter what. . . you just aren't remembering them.  I went through that stage too so don't worry.  It could just be that you're tired or stressed out maybe.
