Why are my eyes blue?

okay forget the baby question.......why are my eyes blue? my dads eyes are brown and my moms are green and my sister and I both have blue what happened?

Maybe because you got the eyes of another family member: an aunt, a grandpa, an uncle, etc.

Ask you're parents. If they hesitate to answer the answer it's either because 1) you're adopted or 2) you have a different daddy :)

n my family we have green, blue, hazel, brown.  Usually people who have blue eyes have ancestors from Northern countries, Sweden, Finland, Sweden.   This area doesn't need protection against the sun as it would in Libya.  People whose ancestry is from the Mediterranean need melanin to protect their eyes from the sun.

If you're like me, I have about 5 nationalities in my gene pool, so any color could pop up. unless your ancestors all lived in the same area and never moved you probably have the same variety in your family.

well it is to do with family heredity, my dads eyes were brown my mums blue and four brothers and three sisters and i was the only one with brown,my husband has blue mine are brown and my three all have brown eyes, all my grandkids have brown except one she has blue and looks like my husband.

maybe its a mix of something or did any one of you grandparents have blue eyes? try researching your family history on both sides

one: maybe your mom cheated on your dad,but not likely.two:the blue eyes skiped them and you two got it.see if any one else in your family(grandma,grandpa) has/had blue eyes

I have blue eyes too.  It is just at random sometimes
