  1. Here's a neat link I found for you.  Hopefully it gives you some good information about your nails.  http://www.hpathy.com/papersnew/traub-fi...

  2. Are you talking about them being curved when they grow out?

Because I know that shape of nails is determined by genetics for the most part. Natural shapes of nail growth (when they grow out) vary from person to person, because they do not grow evenly. They can curve, curl, slant. However, curved nails can be indictive of heart, liver, and respiratory problems. I believe that this is because of a lack of iron or B12 (vitamin). a homopathic site says this:

Vitamin A and calcium deficiencies - dry brittle nails.

Vitamin B deficiency - horizontal and vertical ridges, that break easily.

Vitamin B12 deficiency - dry, darkened nails with rounded and curved nail ends.

    Protein deficiency - white bands

(sorry but the page I had this on shut down do to an "error" so I can't cite it)

The thing is that curved nails can either be genetic, a vitamin deficiency, or a sign of a larger problem. I would say that you should see your doctor, especially if you just developed this.
