Why are my goldfish sitting on the bottom of my tank?

i just got 2 goldfish today and they are still alive and all but they are just sitting at the bottom of the tank on the rocks. is this normal? what could i be doing wrong? these are my first fish too...

did you cycle your tank? check the water paramaeters (pH, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite) how many gallons does you tank hold? 2 goldfishes need a 20 gallon tank. give them a day or so. they need to get use to their enviorment.

Did you dechlorinate the water before putting them in? Also is the water room temperature?

Are they the bubble eyed kind? cuz if they are thats normal. just give them a few days to adjust and they'll be fine.

It's normal. They aren't used to the new tank. Give them about three days and they'll be swimming around.
