  1. Kittens can get a very common virus called clamidia...It's like a very bad cold for you or me...Don't worry so much, they'll get over it...

The upside ? Once they've gotten over it, their immune system won't let them get it again..:-)

  2. Does it look like there is any crust around the eyes?  If so, you could try gently wiping it off with a warm, wet, cloth.  It doesn't seem like an emergency but I would definitely call the vet tomorrow to see what they suggest.

  3. Get a warm watered clean cloth and dampen their eyes gently. Enough to moisten the crust so that it will be able to be wiped off. It may take multiple times to get it off, keeping the cloth with warm water.  Definitely give your vet a call tomorrow and have them checked out, because they may need prescription cream or drops.  Hope this helps the babies. Good luck.

  4. maybe they are just playin hard to get of or they might be very tired you should see if they are sleeping.

  5. Either wait until you can take them in or see if you can find an online vet site.  Try the SPCA website.

  6. Something is wrong. Can you get to an emergency vet?

  7. Sometimes if they just got their eyes open and you pet them a bunch right after that their eyes can close again (that has happened to me before). Sometimes if you wait a few days they will eventuallly get better. Don't worry I don't think that they will be like that the rest of their lives.

  8. if their vet is closed then take them to a pet ER yes it costs because it is the weekend but it is worth it. if there is crusty stuff around their eyes you really need to take them to the pet ER quickly!! what might work to get the crusty stuff off their eyes is take a washcloth and take some warm(NOT  HOT) water and lightly rub off the crusty stuff.

  9. I think you better take them to the vet as soon as possible, because that sort of thing SHOULDN'T happen. It could be a sign of cat flu which is quite dangerous if not treated quickly. It also spreads quickly among other cats. I hope they get better soon!

  10. Conjunctivitis is very common in litters of kittens and very contagious.  You need to get them to the vet as soon as the clinic is open.  In the meantime, try bathing the kittens eyes with warm salt-water to remove any crusting that is sticking the lids shut (we did this at the shelter as an interim measure if vets were shut).  Don't be tempted to pull the lids open.  When you get to the vet on Monday he may take swabs to diagnose the cause.  He'll prescribe cream or drops for them.
