Question:

Why are my light bulbs flickering?

The house is finally built and finished, so I went to Lowe's to purchase light bulbs, part of this purchase consisted of 4 40 watt candelabra base bulbs A15C, energy saver brand. I then put them in my fan (the fan called for 4 60 watt candelabra base bulbs A15C). Turned on the fan, and the lights where flickering, so I thought well maybe I should just leave them on for a while, the flickering lightened up, but still flickered. So, I went to Wal-Mart and bought some 60 watt candelabra bulbs, but these are those narrow kind, the ones that look like candles, put them in there and worked fine, not a l**k of problem out of them. So I'm wondering, if at lowe's maybe i should have purchsed the 60 watt candelabra rounded bulbs instead of the 40, could that mistake caused the flickering?
