Why are my lower front teeth aching so badly?

Every couple of months or so my lower front teeth ache really badly. It usually lasts for a few days. Sometimes it just appears for no reason I can see, but other times it seems to be related to food. For example today I bit into some food and felt some get trapped between two of my teeth, and although I removed it straight away I knew instantly it would start my toothache again. Does anyone have any ideas why they're hurting and what I can do to stop it? Thanks very much!

  1. If you have braces then it is because the build up of food is pressing against the wires.

If you don't have braces or wires then you might have just sensitive teeth. Try drinking more milk, to strenghten your teeth. If you continuously have problems I suggest to see a dentist.
