A small area at my jaw line and just under the jaw is slightly enlarged and tender to the touch. What can cause these lymph nodes to react this way? Can sinus drainage cause this? Thanks!

  1. could be sinuses or tonsilitis or mono or many things. it can range from serious to not serious at all....depends....if it really bothers you and doesnt go down in a few days go to the doctors..

  2. Lymph nodes swell and get tender to fight off infection in your body.

When you have an infection, the lymph nodes closer to the heart will swell and get tender.  So anything above the point of the swelling may be the area infected.

    Tooth

    Sinus

    Tonsils

    Throat

    Ears

    Etc.

See your Doctor to find out what is going on.
