  1. Well try running to the pet store and buy a tank divider to separate them but they are probably fighting over dominance however domeone will get hurt so go ahead and get the divider


  2. you can seporate them if you want what they are doing is normal they are establishing the domance of the tank and the pecking order  

  3. The thing that anyone really would like to know here, that is at least intelligent, is what is the tank size?  A solo Oscar should be in no less then a 55, and for a pair, a 90.  

    Many times with younger Oscars, fish keepers are tempted to keep them in a tank far too small for them.  This causes a couple things to occur.  One is you'll have a much tougher time coping with your nitrogen compounds, and two, with a pair in a tank too small, they'll see each other far too often and compete for food.  Oscars are monomorphic so you cannot visually s*x them and thus determine if this is a male/female mating ritual or a pair of males fighting.

    Before I'd really suggest anything, I'd like to know the tank size.  Seperating them is likely to only delay dealing with the real issue.
