Why are my pictures pixelated when I share pictures during a yahoo chat?

I'v shared pictures (asking the person I'm chatting with to accept the invitation to view pix) and they've been fine/perfectly viewable. Now, when I share pix, they are all pixelated-to the extent you cannot even makeout what the picture is. (if I send the same picture via email-there is no problem with pixelating.) Thanks in advance!

Hi there.  I study in computer graphics and software. There are a number of reasons why your pictures could be pixelated such as a bad internet connection. All I can really do for you without physically being at your computer is suggest you update yahoo messenger to the newest version and hope for the best. If this doesn't solve your problem then the only other thing I can suggest is to email the pictures to the person. I am a big fan of yahoo messenger, but I don't use the pix share to often.

that happens to me at first then it goes to normal n a minute. they may see it differently. ask them.

probably because the picture is smaller, or maybe because the photo-sharing plugin damages the picture. if i were you i'd do a reinstall yahoo messenger, make sure the person you're talking to has an updated version of yahoo, and that the pictures aren't 49 x 49 or something.
