Question:

Why are my tomatillos so small in the husk

My first time growing tomatillos, and I have found a couple that grew with their husks, but most of them seem to be like cherries and don't seem to be growing into their husks. Does it take a while once it starts to bear the fruit?

  1. It does take a while for them to mature. Let the plants dry out between watering's. Don't let them wilt or anything but they do like a drying between watering's. It seems to help ripening along as well as fruit set. Also, don't try to keep them tied up like a tomato, let them sprawl, They are happier that way and will root along the trailing branches.
