Why are my tomatoes dry inside? Homegrown!

  1. probably too hot outside...

    bring them inside in some pots and place near a window.


  2. Tomatoes vary greatly depending on what variety you are growing.  Romas are "dryer" than Beefsteak, for example.  But how you grew them also plays a difference.

  3. Keeping them near the fruit basket when they need to ripen can help. Especially when kept near apples and bananas, as they release a certain gas that helps tomatoes ripen well.

  4. Its the type of strand of tomatoe you are purchasing. Also, if its all organic it should be juicier and less dense, if hormones or additives were used it would look like a perfect beautiful tomatoe, so be wary!
