  1. Do you apply them yourself or do you have acrylic nails applied?

My real nails feel awful afterwards!

    But lucky you anyways :)

  2. Nails are always softer when you remove an enhancement.  They should be stronger in about 24 hours.

If you went to a budget nail salon your nails will be much weaker than before.  They do so much damage with the electric file.

If you went to a reputable salon then the damage should be minimal.

  3. the acrylic strips the nail bed.  so when you remove them which is good to do every know and them if you keep them on, your nails are thin frail and brittle.  there is nothing you can do really someone will try to sale u something but just let them grow out.  You can buy a white block buffer from Sally BS and that will help them look better while u wait.

taking multivitamins works and some kind of nail strengthener may help.

  4. because they normally file down your nail enamel when they apply fake nails.  you're not the only person, this is why i stopped getting acrylic sets.  get Sally Hanson, hard as nails, it's a thick pinkish polish that really works.  Use it for 7-10 days and your nails will get stronger and longer, also take multivitamins and wear gloves when you clean/do dishes.  This should help!

  5. I think it's because the acrylic sticks to your natural nails and pulls off a few layers of it when you remove them.  I had very soft nails for a few weeks after removing my acrylics, but they hardened up as the brittleness grew out.  Try using Sally Hansen's Hard as Wraps nail polish with a anti chip top coat.
