Why are nascar fans so nasty?

I went to the Michigian Race in june last year and guys were peein in bottles and cans right in their seats.....one father complained to security and they laughed it off......my first and last race....

There are idiots everywhere. Please don't let one bad experience soil what is a good, fun, family venue.

You should write an email to the track itself complaining, copy NASCAR on it too.

It may not get you free seats, but it may lite a fire under security's butt to be more aware of it.

This doesn't always happen, I have been to many races and never seen anything like that. So don't let a couple of people ruin a great time and your impression of nascar.

Remember though, there are ignorant people everywhere. It's not just nascar. When stupid people are drunk... they are even more stupid!! lol. I went to Vegas for new years and people were actually peeing on  the street on the strip. People like that are everywhere.

Thats nothing try going to a night race were they have all day to drink.  I go to the richmond race every year and usually have a good time but the drunks who have all day to drink are the worst.

Drunks are like that anywhere.  Personally, I have never experienced that at any NASCAR race.  Please do NOT stereotype all NASCAR fans in that catagory.  It is a small percent of the whole NASCAR nation.  I am sorry you had a bad experience, but please do not judge all races by that one.  NASCAR is a wonderful experience overall.

It's not just NASCAR, dude. I've seen almost the exact same thing at Texas Stadium during a Cowboys game. Some chick right in front of us stood there and wet herself just so that she wouldn't have to miss any of the game. Repulsive. There are retarded fans in EVERY sport.

They don't wana miss the race. Why lie people? Tell the truth. h**l, I've peed in a gatorade bottle while I was driving home, just so I wouldn't miss the radio broadcast of the race. Why do people at a Lynard Skynard concert smoke so much weed? Why do people at concerts have mosh pits, or have s*x where ever?  And after that kid's dad cried to the security guard, I bet he took his kid home so he could play Grand Theft Auto, and have s*x with some hooker in his car and kill her for the money afterward (anyone whose ever played GTA will know what I'm talking about). Life's a party, and to those that *****, are going to miss out on some good times.

Honestly out of all the races I've been to, I've never seen anything that bad. However, the infield is no place for children, cause that where the real partying happens.

don't let a few idiots ruin your good time.  some people think that a race is just an excuse to go party, but why pay all that money for tickets just so you can get drunk and not remember what happened at the race let alone who won.  don't let that be your last race not everyone out there acts that immaturely! you can go to the track and have a good time without all that!!!

Because you were in Michigan, they were at least using some sort of container. If you had been at Talladega, (Dale JR. land) they would have probably pee'ed on your shoe.

The couple of times that I went to a race, I didn't drink. I want to remember the experience.

I've been to Pocono, and the security guards were pretty strict. Heck, someone gave me tickets, and they almost booted us out because we weren't the people that were on the ticket!

No matter what you do in life, there are always bad apples.

I know of Nascar fans of all ages, and I think they're cool. The older ones are soo down to earth.

Don't generalize Nascar fans. I would never do that. We are good people, just like the football, and baseball ones!!!

I have only been to races in Daytona and nothing like that has happened. What really bothered me was that a lot of people would walk down to the wheelchair area and watch the race from there. And it was really hard for people next to those areas to see anything because of that. And security did NOTHING about it even though a lot of people asked if they could please tell the people to go back to their seats.

I don't understand why nascar does not require "family" sections with no smoking, cursing or drinking. My local track has this and it works beautifully.

alot of them are drunk. they party all weekend. but there are alot of good clean nascar fans out there too. i personally never seen anyone pee in a cup, that would be uber gross. not saying all nascar fans but most give the name hillbilly a bad name because of people like that.

Alot are like that because they are intoxicated. Please don't let those idiots ruin your thoughts on the sport. I live in Bristol TN and attend the race spring and fall and I will not stop doing something I love because of a bunch of drunk rednecks. There still are people out there who don't act ignorant in public.
