Why are neither of the Hamm brothers (gymnastics) competing?

  1. Injuries duh. U think they would just pull out because they were fine???


  2. Paul broke his wrist in training. Also, he stopped gymnastics after the last Olympics and went back to school from 2004-2007 so he had only recently gotten back into it. He felt he couldn't reasonably represent the US in gymnastics and would rather give the other members of the team and alternates a chance. Morgan suffered an ankle injury and it would affect his ability to tumble well. So both of them decided not to go because of injuries.

I am so disappointed in that but I believe that Paul Hamm injured his rotator cuff and Morgan Hamm injured his ankle a few days before the games.  They pulled out because they felt that they could not give their best performances and they wanted to give the other US Olympians a chance to do well.
