Why are old Christan's the evilest?

Question

I went to the state fair in KY right.... I'm just walking minding my own business.. an all the sudden some old guy pulls me over to the side and asks me. "Do you believe in God?"

I said no.... and he said if i don't believe in god I'm going to burn in h**l.

I told him i didn't believe in that either.

He started shouting something at me and whipped out a cross and pointed it at me.

I didn't feel like standing there so i walked away while he kept yelling at me.

Why are christians like this???

I mean wow i don't believe in your god so I'm going to h**l?

Have you met this guy? Or thing really? no

How can you rely on faith of something that probably does not exist?

If I wasn't going to get arrested for it I would have killed that mindless old man.

I don't think a single piece of anecdotal evidence proves all old Christians are the evilest....most older Christians have found a sort of peace about life, and they are very unlike the young, obsessed ones who are so lonely they need validation.

The old man you describe was probably just off his rocker...you probably should have told the police that walk around the fair that the old man was accosting you and you felt threatened...maybe they'd put him in a home where he can be cared for by mental health professionals...

I can relate to what your saying. but try and laugh him off.  I reckon is you started giggling and didn't stop, he would have joined in and you'd have made his day.

Poor old fella has probably had a bad life full of oppressions, and limitations due to the fear his religion has over him.

Don't let his insecurities change your prospective of religion.

Personally I think that if God is looking down, he would be feeling pretty disappointed in the way his followers behave and represent his religion.

I'm a bit confused.   You don't believe in God, yet you'd consider killing an obviously mentally off-balance old man who threatens you with a fate of which you do not even believe?

Why so much hate?    If you * truly * do not believe in God, then you should have laughed off his irrelevant question and subsequent baseless threat.

I guess...in his own way, hes trying to do, the best that he knows, and is trying to do something good, and his limited knowledge of things really keeps him in this lonely and dark place, and i quess that he was venting out his frustrations on you, or he was envious of your youth and wishes he had it back again, or something like that....But i just ask you to try to understand or try not to hold it against him, because hes probably had a hard life and its not in any way your fault, but you know one thing...and that is that we are going to get there to one day, and thats a fact, i mean im 43 now and i always thought that life was gonna get easy, when i get to that place or when i pass a certain stage...and you know what...I'm wrong so far, because life just seems to get tougher and tougher as you get older, and you lose your strength to, and i have heard that before from some older people, but i never took time to try and understand, and so now i know that life is sometimes really hard, and so maybe, just try to understand, because you are youngwer and stronger and probably a lot healthier, and so maybe right now....You've got it pretty good, even though you probably got your own struggles....right ?

Anyone who is over the age 25 and still a Christian of the h**l espousing variety is obviously in the single figure IQ demographic. The Angel of Attrition that attacked you is obviously a deeply disturbed individual who has no idea. Pity him, his life must be utter misery.
