are older boxers suppose to win it all? why are they bitter when they lose? should they say things like 'i schooled him' or something like that?

like when you beat your older brother or uncle in a sport where 5 years ago you didn't stood a chance?

is this just another failure to accept or in denial?

  1. I love boxing, but HATE to watch someone that isn't humble. Ex: I love Flloyd Maywether...but his attitude sucks. Being humble about the match is very important-that goes for new or older fighters. Be proud of yourself, have confidence but dont be arrogant.

  2. A boxer needs a certain psychology to do what they do.  It takes a narcisstic delusional confidence to keep going when the opponent knocks your teeth loose and buises your ribs.  That's just the way they are, if they think any less of themselves, they can't fight.  My best friend retired me from sparring with a left hook i never saw.  No confidence left to fight...didn't trust my eyes, didn't trust my skills anymore.  It's just how they have to be to get to that level.  Every fighter thinks that way, only some don't verbalize it.

  3. Older boxers seem to have a way of losing their grasp on reality.
