Question:

Why are other McCain supporters so gung-ho about the Palin pick?

Here we've been ripping Obama for months about his inexperience record of few achievements, and then McCain nominates someone with even less experience, to take the presidency should 72 year old McCain die or become disabled while in office.

This was a bad McCain fumble and that's all there is to it. This is every bit as bad as Bush 41 picking Dan Quayle. All we can do at this point is continue touting McCain as the right guy, continue painting Obama as inexperienced and with the wrong policies, and try and ignore what a bad VP pick McCain made.

Palin would have been a fine VP pick 4 - 6 years from now, after she established herself as a successful governor and started speaking out on national and international policies.

I'm so disgusted with McCain right now. The Obama people are celebrating right now and for good reason.

  1. She's a beauty queen & this represents what many republicans value- Barbie dolls.  she is in trouble for mis-using her power so her troubles should disappear quickly now. He needed somone who had skeletons in their closet so they would keep their mouth shut. This pick doesn't surprise me but it concerns me cause I love my country. He is a 72 year old man with skin cancer so this women could be our President & again we will be run by the Oligarchy of Bush, Rove, Cheney & that bunch which will be running the show anyway if McCain gets in. But she has no national security experience so it bothers me that.republicans say they care about these things then vote for these people. This is more importand for the VP to have. My answer is I am not surprised I have been shocked by more than this but it seems like this was your wake up call. Plus she had a baby 4 months ago & anyone who has a baby knows it is hard to start any new job with a baby that young. McCain doesn't even know her so this shows how impulsive he is but I think people with anger problems are emotionally out of control. He baby has downs syndrome & I guess she doesn't know the baby needs some attention.

  2. Because Palin is a Great choice and she will make a Wonderful VP (and future President)! It just goes to show that McCain is a true maverick & genius!

    Palin:

    * has the record of the most beloved Governor in the US by her state (Alaska)

    * is a vocal, huge proponent of American energy independence

    * has actually been leading people for the past several years, while Obama & Biden have been leading NO one!

    * shelved her state's pork-laden Bridge to Nowhere that McCain has ridiculed on the trail

    * will join McCain in fighting hard against earmarks

    * is about as far outside the Beltway as you can get

    * ran on the agenda of stopping wasteful gov't spending

    * is the mother of 5 kids!

    * has had her son deploy to Iraq

    * is for a strong US defense

    * is an ice fisherman

    * is a moose hunter

    * is a small business owner and a lifetime NRA member

    All in all, she's a truly fine leader, citizen and patriot - who truly represents Americana (Motherhood & Apple pie)!

    McCain/Palin '08

    Peace

  3. Palin cleaned the corruption out of her state in record time. Obama, Biden and McCain haven't been able to pull that off in their states or in the halls of Congress.

    In fact, Obama and Biden have been very busy handing over taxpayers money to corrupt and incompetent idiots.

    I'm a Goldwater guy, so I don't like any of the senators on either of the tickets. But she's a citizen. Not part of the machine. She's one of us, and she has far more executive experience in our world than all of the other rich idiot Congressmen combined.

  4. The end is near O'Biden supporters...almost time to put on the white robes and finish the Kool Aid.  One big pile please, easier to burn that way.

  5. it sure did get a lot of people to bite on the "experience" bait didn't it...'cuz you know,  Palin isn't running against Obama....McCain is...McCain didn't need someone to compensate for his lack of experience....Obama did...

    And while you bring it up....the Quayle "fumble" illustrates a good point...Lloyd Bentsen was eminently more qualified than Quayle, but more people were worried about Dukkakis....Voters choose based on the name at the TOP of the ballot....not VP...

  6. FINALLY an honest and intelligent eval from a republican.  First I've seen.

    seriously wonder what the Party elders are thinking.
