Have you been taken in by our high-sounding rhetoric about not tolerating dictators and tyrants? The hard reality  is that it is not possible to simply send an army to a country that is tearing itself apart and create peace and prosperity. You have only to look at how well we've done in Iraq and Afghanistan.  But, yes, the fact that they are black Africans without petroleum reserves makes them easier to ignore.

We aren't there because Zimbabwe is of no interest to our government because there is nothing there we can exploit. Mugabe is a tyrant, but big deal, our government lets tyrants do what they want as long as there is nothing to gain from deposing them. Look at Jong Il, Suharto, Seko, Pinochet, etc, etc...

Iraq had the materials and a few workers, but a bad foreman.

Zimbabwe has a few materials, but half of the workers are  killing each other.

Unfortunately our country cannot put men like Saddam in power...take him out...bring democracy to Iraq to people that have noooo idea what democracy is...fight a war that was accomplished years ago and then expect us to be pro-life enough and defend the indefensible.
