does it have anything to do with it happening so suddenly(At least it did as soon as I got into middle school) and not too long ago, they preferred hanging around with someone of their own gender, and not associate with the opposite gender. Sort of like still thinking of them as a little kid, and not a teenager.

  1. i think it reminds them of how they felt when they were in your positon. they know ur coming into your adelecence stage and think its funny bcuz your getting those feelings,it is cute. if it becomes a hassel jus tell them u need their respect as your are growing up and need ur independence.

  2. Because 1.) parents have memories, and though they can look back at a "silly crush" with themselves in the equation, 2.) their kids' crushes remind them that just about everyone goes through it.

  3. Well, it could be one of a few things.

    1. It could be that these parents have letting-go issues.

    2. It could be that they know that crushes are called crushes because they usually end in pain.

    3. It could be that the person who is having the crush is becoming unhealthily obsessed with the person on whom they have the crush.

  4. They know that crushes can lead to love, which can lead to trouble such as s*x, drugs, and other things like that. They are just being overprotective though, because these things don't always happen.
