Why are people SICKLY SWEET when they answer questions?

Like they call you or other people 'HUN' or 'SWEETIE' - do you think they have a burning need to be liked, or are they just patronising simpletons? Whatever happened to normal conversation without the syrup dripping off the replies......lol!

Hey Hun!!! why the negativity? What a gorge sweet question to ask, maybe its because they are patronising simpletons, your absolutely right!! I hate people doing it to me too, i mean they don't even know me! (by the way, i am sweet tho!), I just love a normal conversation with out the cherry on the top.
