Question:

Why are people afraid of a recount in the NH primary?

Dennis Kucinich is asking for a recount of the ballots in NH to make sure that all votes were counted properly. This seems like a reasonable request to me since he has credible evidence that it may not have been counted fairly. He has nothing to gain from this as he received a low margin. :-( However, I admire the courage he has in seeking to do the right thing. Ron Paul supports this recount by the way.

  1. First, it's sheer stupidity to outsource our precious vote to a corporation that refuses to disclose how it secures our votes, and has a history of its machines being easily hacked and tampered with in a matter of seconds. Or for that matter, it's idiocy to outsource our vote at all.

If we are going to let black boxes with a reputation for vulnerabilities and error-prone hardware count votes, then we'd better be recounting at least 1/5 of those votes, at random, just to make sure the machines didn't s***w up.

At least this time there's a paper trail, rather than those touch-screen machines where your vote disappears into the ether.

  2. People aren't afraid the fact is that it is a Democratic primary and I am sure the taxpayers of New Hampshire don't want to finance Kucinich's whim.

  3. First, I want them to re count the Florida votes from 2000.

  4. what people are "afraid"  ??

  5. Afraid of the results? NO!!!! But it is NH tax payers who will pay for it...Oh, goody he sent a check for $2,000.00...The cost to do it? OVER $10,000.00....  Would you like to pick up the remaining tab for his whims?

Hillary won and everybody needs to get over it and MOVE ON!!!

  6. Because , people of that caliper like to stir things up that was done right in the beginning.

Its like a pile of dog manure that's been laying around, no stink to it, until you get a stick and stir it up .

  7. Dennis Kucinich does not have "credible evidence that it may not have been counted fairly". What he has are Republican smears which he is trying to quell by proving that the count is accurate. He said that he does not expect the count to change.

  8. There does seem to be a difference in the hand-counted results in each county balanced against what Diebold is saying the count was..Has to be fraud or error---hope this can be handled before the general election.

  9. As I understand it. Obama was leading in the polls but Clinton won and the hand count didn't match the machine count. I guess we'll find out. At least I HOPE we do.

  10. yup.  let's always do recounts now.  it's the in thing these days.

why would he care anyway?  does he like to relive his failures?
