Why are people at that age so cruel?

ok I was on a band club trip on Friday....and it was all of the bands so there were all of us high school band peeps and then all of the freaking annoying middle-schoolers.....now middle school was h**l for me....I was teased till I about had a breakdown in 7th grade. 8th grade wasn't near as bad....but the teasing wasn't near as severe.....6th grade was awesome though...I was so happy to finally get to high school this year.

While we were eating lunch one of my friends was runninng of some where and I was trying to see where he was going...and when I turned around one of the little SOB's was like...ya u like that don't you....it really pissed me off....i really wanted to pick him up and slam him against a tree....considering i am quite a bit larger than him.....height wise...and weight wise (i'm no where near fat though) but i was on a school trip and I didn't wanna get in trouble...and my mom was chaperoning . This same little punk made me mad at youth group too a couple weeks ago.

I'm that old and I'm a gentleman if you ask me (unless im in a bad mood)... we're not annoying. That was kinda mean. I am the only NICE 7th grader in my school and the others are mean (to me too)

It's middle school. Hormones rage and tempers fly. Middle schoolers are brutal, this sh*t happens.

kids are insecure, and take out their insecurities on what they see as "weaker people". in their mind weaker people are the people who may not have as many friends, dont dress like them, or are skinnier or smaller then them. while to an adult we know that doesnt make them any weaker, to a p*****n, or teenager, or any immature person, they try to prove themselves tougher by picking on those people.

the cruelest kids ive ever met were kids that had alot of emotional baggage... they were beat by their parents, and had low self esteem.

be happy your not one of them, and good luck... maybe youll be a millionare someday and theyll be bagging your groceries

Whenever someone teases someone else, it's because they are extremely insecure. And that age is all about insecurity. So, when they get a rise out of someone, it makes them feel better about themselves. This, then, is how you deal with it. You call them on it. Tell them how sorry you feel for them that they have to put on a big show so no one can tell how worthless they are.
