Why are people bickering?

About the Rangers and Celtic players in the squad, saying "Miller and McGregor played better than Robson and Brown", "The Gers players done the business". Scotland are a team and when they play, Celtic and Rangers dont matter, it's about SCOTLAND that's all.

I dont agree with booing the National Anthem when Ireland sang it, i agree that was very disrespectful but there was also some fans booing Kenny Miller from the Scotland section, and Scott Brown, what is all this about????

Did these people cheer in the last campaign when Barry Ferguson equalised against Italy? I know i did, he was playing for Scotland, not Rangers!

Some people on this forum were more interested in what NI were doing last night - are these Rangers fans? They sing the same songs and fly the same flags as them? ENGLISH, so don't you support Scotland anymore.

Enlighten me, what's happening to football fans?

It is a disgrace. Fans should be out there supporting Scotland not playing "party politics" booing a player because he comes from one club and cheering another because he is from another club.

In Oz, we support our National team regardless of who they play with and this should be the same back home. Support the  blues esprcially if it is against the poms.

It doesn't matter what colour of top you where or what stadium you worship at! We are Scotland and if you cut anyone of us open we will all be the Dark blue of scotland with Tartan blood in the inside!

If we carry on bickering with each other then where no better than the English, so let's all unite and get behind our team like no one else but the tartan army can!

i am terribly unhappy at Miller in the squad and if i was at Hampden id boo him. I was even annoyed when he started against Ukraine, even though he got the first goal. useless player, look at him now, hes not even scored in a friendly for Rangers and fluffed god knows how many chances. Hes a striker that Wolves played at RIGHT BACK in his last season...says it all!

also, what has Ferguson done to be a certain starter? hes had one good game for Scotland, and thats the one you have mentioned.

people are saying Caldwell is better then weir, utter pish. They are both just as good as each other, Weir is old and slow, Caldwell is young and just as slow and clumsy, caught out of position constantly. also, have a look at Broadfoot, hes not any worse at centre back.

il argue all day when it comes to the Scotland squad, fans of either Rangers and Celtic just want thier players as they seem to think thier better, im right down the line with it.

yes we were missing Hutton and Robson last night, mabye the only two who would have started

Boyd to start alongside Steven Fletcher, mabye even O'Connor, Darren Fletcher on the right, Brown and Thompson in the Middle, left mid is where we struggle, however McFadden slots in perfectly as would maloney

defence is clear, we are missing Hutton so whittaker or even Greame Murty, McManus and a combi of either wier, caldwell, Berra or even Braodfoot with Whittaker, Gordon as keeper.

Full strength squad, almost identical to what was at his disposal last night. No Excuses

Some of these so called Rangers fans are a discrace, they've been at it for years, booing their own players at Scotland matches because they played for Celtic. I used to go to lots of Scotland matches when I was a kid but had a few bad experiences because of so called fans booing our own players. When McNamara started playing it was the last straw for me when I heard how hostile large sections of the crowd were!

The reason Miller was bood is because he used to play for Celtic, Gers fans are still booing him at Gers matches because of this so I think I'm right in assuming it was Gers fans booing him last night

i'm a rangers fan and when players are playing for scotland i don't care which club they come from..i have already said i thought brown played well...as for rangers fans supporting n.ireland why not a lot of them do come from there just like a lot of celtic fans support the republic..what i don't agree with is the scottish fans of either team supporting anyone against scotland but it does happen...and its not just the celtic players who get booed..i was at a few games and every time hutton or ferguson touched the ball all the usual 'hun' c**p was getting spouted...and it won't end any time soon...i may have been peeved with aplayer cos he was c**p but never because of what club he played for

agree with you linzi..it was bellfastman who said some of these rangers fans are a disgrace..was just pointing out that its not only rangers fans who do it...some of the worst ones aren't even old firm fans...and they usually boo both sets of players..used to go to alot of games and the vast majority of abuse the old firm players got were from supporters of neither old firm team..i once asked someone one to stop calling barry ferguson an orange b******d as there was kids about and got politely told that 'us lot' should stick to watching england and the republic...

I believe in Scotland to do well,as most other fans do,but you are right to a degree as not all fans believe

if we were to get behind our team,rather than B****h who should be playing where then i feel the football would be up 5 fold
