Question:

Why are people concerned with birds dying cause of wind turbines?

dont get me wrong, I love animals. many cultures were using windmills hundreds and thousands of years ago for grain grinding and water pumping and I have no idea if anyone complained about the dead birds hit by the windmill all until today when few wind turbines killed the birdies. and the largest bird killers are cars, cats, high tension lines, pesticides, towers, glass walls, buildings. so we should stop driving cars or at least slow down, exterminate every cat or give it vegetarian food, stop building high skyscrapers, demolish towers, stop building high tension lines and if we dig and put the lines inside the land, then we will kill too many moles and worms. and if we simply leave the lines to lie on the ground, then someone will pee on the lines by mistake and got his jewels or her muffin shocked with thousands of volts! or they can trip, hit their head and DIE! and if we stop using pesticide, then we can endanger our precious food crops and it can cause food shortages. we need to stop having shiny glass walls on sky scrapers cause they work like mirrors, birds will see a sky and clouds, so they will continute flying, thinking its a sky, they can go as fast as 100 kph and DIE from an impact!

and some birds can see a prey kilometers away, and if a small window is open, they can fly into it with amazing speeds, while they cant avoid that d**n wind turbine! peace hippies read a fact that wind turbines KILL! but they forgot to read that cats are a far serious threat to those little puffy birds. so should we stop using wind power and continue polluting the air with coal plants which will kill more birds? or should we go back living in cages using no electricity at all?

  1. So....only "peace hippies" are concerned about the environment?  So, does that mean that anyone that gives a rats a** about animals, clean air, clean water, and the rest of the environment holds that label.  For a minute..I thought you had some valid points, until I realized how closed minded you are.

  2. Part of it is that wind power is useless, if it were useful then the noise problem, the bird death problem, etc would be quite acceptable (and the bird death problem isn't that bad) but if it doesn't provide reliable power and can't fossil fuels then there's no point in putting up with those issues.

  3. Well fortunaly you are not of the heard mentality, you see what the smart people see. the contridiction of the AGW movment. ANy solution that is present that allows us to make our own decsions and personnel freedom is rejected by the AGW belivers. Giant CO2 scrubbers rejected by the AGW movment, any thign that allows us to drive what we want eat what we want and have the size house or property we want is rejected by the AGW movement. THey are the left overs from the  commuist movement of the cold war era, they are still here pushing the commuist agenda on the worls and they have the majority of ignorant and emotianly unstable by using the emtiona diatribe of the furutre of the children. IT was Global cooling in the 60' never happend.

    EDIT:Nickel,

Well your point of view is just that yours, it is neither correct nor wrong. Unfortunatley people want to inact life altering legislation just on thier own point of view. This is not logical, nor progressive. It was done before in WWII, with hitler leading the charge to change the world into his point of view. Politicians and most importantly those that desire power learned a great deal from him in how to lead a nation into a narrow point of view. Kill them with their ignorance dazzle them with the unknown. Then when the children who are so easily convicned, are on board steering the parents towards the cliff of impending communism. BAm you freedoms are now regulated by wether or not you going to affect the biome you live, in a negative fashion. Not the type of world I want to live in and would rather persih than give up my freedom to live the way a free soul should.

EDIT: Would we be surpirsed to know that Nickle is french you should see the email i get from him the renewable energy engineer, cant stand that AGW supports his career and is a complete sham!

EDIT:DR?? Jello, ok so if it come between human propagation and an animal extinction you would pick to conserve the animal? WE can clone dogs why not just start cloning all extict species....Nuclear power would not be so impactufl on the animals and has shown to actually be positive to the gator population in florida. So why not nukes, well the tree huggers belive any thing that dosent force us to live in a dung hut and die out from exposure is not good enough for us. the want us all dead and the earth can live on really progressive right...

  4. Extinction is forever.  Once a species is gone, it can never come back.

Is it more important for you to power your flat screen TV, or mindlessly blog on a computer or insure that species of birds will be enjoyed by our children as well?

I can't believe how selfish some people can be to put their own personal needs over those of the environment.  Shame on you!

  5. Truth be told, they simply want mankind to shrink in numbers as a species.  Any pretext, no matter how ridiculous, to prevent man from expanding/developing new lands will do.

BTW:  You won't get zapped urinating on a live wire (it's a myth, much like man-made global warming).  The stream seperates in mid-air, breaking any current before it has a chance to spark.

  6. Wraith:

I stop you here in your psychosys. There is nothing like an AGW movement. There are a lot of people who think we should act to solve the energy and climat crisis with different views.

Any other statement is misleading and pure labelling.

  7. Well to really tell the truth it was Cousin Teddy back on Sandy Hook that objected to the blocking the view from his estate. Killing birds was the excuse he used, spoiling the view from his patio was the real reason. Birds are intelligent enough to learn about windmills!
