  1. Because they know they are getting older, not younger.  I am in my 50s but I didn't let growing old worry me so much.  I know and have always known that we come to that point when we start having gray hairs, some wrinkles, low memory retention etc. that comes with age.  Most people are vain and when they look at the mirror and see their reflections, they start to worry that they are slowly getting on in years.  A natural reaction specially if one puts much importance to getting old and how they look.  For me, the most important thing is how to get old and yet stay youthful...in mind, body and spirit.  It isn't age that counts but what you have done in life and being happy.

  2. i think women mostly.....bc when one who in their youth thought that beauty is all that makes a person finally can't elude the truth that beauty is like a flower that has a prime period for their most alluring part and then fades and dry up in time. And when they use beauty to have a man in life, that man would always, in some ways look for young women to please their carnal pleasures, thus making women above 40's feel like a rejected commodity.

Furthermore, women who are in this bracket would find it difficult to have a new man for herself unless she got money to "hire" them temporarily. For men who have money won't prefer a "fading" woman.Mostly got to do with pro creation thing.

  3. It's part of what is known as mid-life crisis!

  4. Rich male foreigners in Manila and Cebu are not worried. They have biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig stomachs, shiny bald spots, the rest of the hair is grey, many wrinkles and age spots but they have a great life, young wives and the exchange rate for Euros and Pounds is tremendous. When any man is over 40, he needs to head for the RP.
