Have you not seen her speech that SHE gave HERSELF? If not, take a look. Tell me, is this clip edited?

  1. I like how you have a problem with Sarah Palin giving one speech at a AIP meeting that doesn't advocate secessionist policies (only a few of hteir members do) but don't have a problem with your candidate cavorting around with a domestic terrorist who bombed government buildings and harmed American citizens in the process.  Talk about hypocrisy!

  2. Why are you still trying to promote a smear that has been debunked? The Independent Party deal was a smear. I guess you haven't been keeping up with the news lately. It's been debunked. It's been proven that Palin has ALWAYS been registered as a Republican.

However, even the Vogler guy you mentioned never stood in a church pulpit and called on God to da*n America. Obama not only "supported" that message with thousands of dollars in contributions, but was a member and sat and soaked it in for over 20 years! That's not going away, no matter how much you wish it so.

edit: Now the Obama campaign is trying to distance itself from this issue. Here's an excerpt from a recent AP story:

Obama spokesman Bill Burton said that as far as he’d seen, “the only person talking about her being in the Alaska Independence Party is the head of the Alaska Independence Party.”

“Their gripe is with those folks,” he said of the McCain campaign.

    NYTimes (hardly a McCain/Palin sympathizer)

"Alaskan Independence Party officials released a statement Monday saying that Ms. Palin had been a member for two years, from 1994 to 1996, information included in reports in The New York Times and other news outlets. In Internet videos of recent party meetings, other party officials can be seen boasting of Ms. Palin’s past membership.

On Tuesday, though, the party’s chairwoman, Lynette Clark, said the earlier statement was false...On Wednesday, Ms. Clark released a corrected statement, saying, in part, 'I, foolishly, repeated and accepted as fact what an officer of this membership shared with myself, and husband Dexter Clark, over a year ago.'

'I humbly apologize to Governor Palin, and to both national and local press and media,' she added.

Ms. Palin has been registered as a Republican since May 1982, according to the State Division of Elections."

As to the secessionist claims, the article goes on to state: Ms. Clark objected to descriptions of her party as secessionist, saying it advocates “states’ rights” and “state sovereignty.”

BTW:  Something sort of jumped out at me that you apparantly didn't quite catch (Is it your listening skills or your comprehension skills that a little below par?).  In your own link she refers to them as the "COMPETITION"  (A dictionary might help you understand the meaning of that word---Just trying to be helpful...LOL)

  3. I can't honestly speak for Sarah Palin because she was never officially a member, but husband Todd was a long time member and they have proof of this. Also, Sarah Palin did address them while Mayor and voice her support for the movement.

    They are one creepy family.

John McCain could have done a h**l of a lot better than Sarah Palin.

  4. Because she dissed OBAMA!

    OBAMA 08!

  5. It's already been refuted by the person that made the allegation.

    Next unfounded smear...

  6. You'll forgive me if I present a more credible source to debunk your YouTube contribution.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/04/us/pol...

  7. They are denying it because they think people are too stupid to use Google and come up with facts to contradict them. There was another video posted last night of the current leader of the AIP saying she used to be a member and quit to go more mainstream when she decided to run for office.

  8. You are just another Democrat trying to strip Americans of their right to free speech.

We can't say Monkey, or Islamic Terrorist, we can't do this and we can't do that, and we can't do this.........................

To combat these witch hunts, I can vote McCain/Palin 08.

  9. I can predict the extreme right republican response...

    Chirp, chirp.

  10. Apparently she never joined.  Her husband did.  She attended their convention and addressed their convention.  Obviously she was interested in the party, and that is a problem for McCain.

  11. Did you listen to the video to which you linked?

I think not, because if you actually listened to it, you would know that Palin called the Alaskan Independence Party her competition... TWICE!

Go back and listen to it again!

How dumb *are* Obamacans! Did you not know that the DNC even said this rumor is false. I think they came out publicly because this is making you guys look pathetically S T U P I D!

In this video, Palin, as Governor, is simply welcoming the party to Fairbanks. She goes on to say she believes that competition between the parties (the AIP and the GOP) is a good thing!!!

  12. Don't expect the GOPers to focus on truth...

Sarah Palin is a nut job....

(Officials of the Alaskan Independence Party say that Palin was once so independent, she was once a member of their party, which since the 1970s has been pushing for a legal vote for Alaskans to decide whether or not residents of the 49th state can secede from the United States. And while McCain's motto -- as seen in a new TV ad -- is "Country First," the AIP's motto is the exact opposite -- "Alaska First -- Alaska Always."

Lynette Clark, the chairman of the AIP, tells ABC News that Palin and her husband Todd were members in 1994, even attending the 1994 statewide convention in Wasilla. Clark was AIP secretary at the time.

"We are a state's rights party," Clark -- a self-employed goldminer -- tells ABC News. The AIP has "a plank that challenges the legality of the Alaskan statehood vote as illegal and in violation of United Nations charter and international law.")

  13. Lol does it surprise you that Republicans are trying to hide or cover something up?

  14. They are trying to do what they can to keep her name off the "DO NOT FLY" list.

Revolution. Insurrection. Armed secession. All planks of the Alaskan Independence Party.

  15. Wow....pretty convincing clip!  The only thing I know about that party is that they want to secede from the United States and be an independent country.   That isn't something a Vice President of the United States should promote, or even "bless" the people who do want that!  Seems Palin is becoming better known, huh?

  16. Notice she said 'competition'

Now i don't know if you are a hockey fan (NHL) but you might know the Pittsburgh Penguins (best team ever) and the Philadelphia Flyers (a terrible team who disgraces the NHL) are big rivals.

If someone on the Penguins said we enjoy the competition, does that mean they are on the Flyers team, no it doesn't, it means they are on a different team.

I didn't look into the story because i heard from credible sources it wasn't true, and if i was it seems like it would be a bigger story.

  17. What is being denied is that she was a member of the party.  Of course she is going to be supportive of local parties.  That's how you get and keep power.  And who cares.  It's not like she was supporting the communists or the socialists.
