  1. Considering how rude and insulting your question is, maybe you only need to look within for the answer.

  2. Depends on where you live. I lived in affluent part of a large city and everyone was rude based upon their material possessions. Really expensive cars and people on the latest Blackberry took the right-of-way. There was a sense of entitlement linked to their toys. They can be rude to people they consider "less", but I know they behave well around their "betters". They don't seem to know that how one treats people is indicative of character. Upper middle-class people are the most rude in the world. They think money is power and they have just enough money to be dangerous. Ones reputation is everything and it's necessary for real money.

I moved to the country and wealthy people drive old pick-ups, walk through c**p and wave when they enter the coffee shop. They wait in line, like anyone else and want privacy. Only insecure people are rude in the country. Pretty soon, they're outcasts, because word gets around. It's rarely people with money who act rudely in the country. They've learned the importance of good interactions, networking and being on good terms with people.

I grew up in a nice city. All the people with real money were nice. I lived in an affluent part of a bigger city. I moved farther out, so did the sports stars, malls, money and upper-middle-class. My nice little town was ruined by people who talk on cell phones, drive Mercedes and have French/Tuscan interiors in their homes. I moved 200 miles away. A semi-celebrity built a house 10 miles away. After the house was built, everyone forgot he's here.

Some people around here are multi-millionaires. They don't get special treatment. They don't try to call attention to themselves. They look and act like everyone else. They are usually the nicest people to know, because they don't feel the need to prove anything.

Ever heard the old saw about a guy with a Ferrari, or a huge Hummer is trying to compensate? It's probably true.

Next time some jerk acts up in traffic, or Micky D's, give him slack. He's prolly lacking something about his manhood.

  3. Several reasons: people equate money with superiority. Shows like My Sweet 16 and The Hills on MTV. Parents who spare the rod and spoil child...even well into their 20s. In a world of IM, Blackberrys, affordable Porches and Louis Vuitton wallets, and easy credit, people have forgotten or never known what it's like to wait or save.

  4. You are generalizing from YOUR personal experience.  This does NOT mean, nor prove your "theory".  It only highlights YOUR point of view.  And creates 'more of the same' for YOU.

Change your point of view, and change your world!

    C'mon, YOU CAN DO IT.

Materialism is the challenge of humanity as 'Spirits in a Material World'.   Physical  "proof" is generally more potent than Metaphysical, as it is tangible.  For we are constantly, and ignorantly seeking "security" from this irrational source, the unfeeling, and uncaring physical world of possessions, fortune, fame, etc.

  5. I am not sure why they are this way all I know is that if that is not you than ignore it.

  6. Because society places more importance on having "things" than being a good person.

it's all over the media in any form. buy this and you will be happy! So people are on a journey to buy that one next thing that will make them well liked and happy.

    sad.
