Why are people hating on the Rockets

Question

How come every time a team gets strong some people just don't like it,

last year when the celtics got garnett and allen everypone was hating on them as well.

And people stop hating on Kobe the guy is argubly the best player in the world stop asking if pierce is better because ts getting tired.

We all know that the top 5 teams are:

Celtics

Rockets

Lakers

Hornets

Pistons

I don't know.........I think people just like to hate!! When the Suns got Shaq everyone started hatin it was insane and Shaq didn't even really make them better it was weird. I can't figure it out. But some people mistake opinions for hatin though..............I personally think Lebron is better than Kobe and they call me a hater but I'm not I like Kobe a lot and think he's amazing!!!

Don't leave out the Suns they are still legit and as of right now they are better than the Rockets.......Sorry they are, we haven't even seen Artest play with them!!

I think you should take it as a positive sign.  People don't usually "hate" on a team unless they see them as a legit threat.  Rockets fans have become more vocal on this board, and rightfully so.  They have a pretty nice team.  But people are entitled to give their opinions.  There are good reasons to question the Rockets ability to go far in the playoffs.  They have had trouble getting out of the first rd.  Their star players have a history of injuries.  And Artest is a tad unpredictable.   Most of the people that are hating on Rockets fans are trolls with fake accounts trying to press your buttons.  They are 2 big of cowards to do it with their primary account, so they hide behind made up accounts (ie "Adam Dawuss 510"-The fake DMAN) and talk S.

wtf?!?!?  i love the rockets!! and my favorite player,Tracy Mcgrady is in the team! And its true they got so many good players now on their team. but i dont see alot of people hating on rockets that much... And dont listen to the people that are saying ohh rockets suck! rockets are definetley not in the top 5!  Trust me... They are in the top 5.. maybe the # 1!

i don't think people are hating on them.  The Rockets just haven't had much success getting past the first round in recent years- although they just seem to have a streak of bad luck when it comes to health issues.

On paper though they are a scary team- and are definitely contenders in the West and a threat to win the title.  i think it's because they haven't accomplished anything yet- so people are still skeptical and not necessarily hating.  The chemistry issue is still a question-- although if they can play well together- with Adelman's defense and the players they have- they are going to be a tough out for anyone in a 7 game series.  i look for them to be among the top of the West all year long- and it's going to be another crazy year in the West and NBA.

i dont think people are hating on the rockets as much as they are hating on the so called "rockets fans" because you have to admit, once artest was acquired, a slew of rocket fans appeared out of nowhere. which leads us all to believe that they are bandwagon fans. and we all know there is nothing more annoying than badnwagon fair weathered fans. and because of that, people attack their team.

oh and by the way, i dont think the rockets are better than the lakers and probably not even as good as the jazz. and no im not hating on the rockets, if anything, im rooting for them to do well.

I haven't really heard people hating the Rockets.

Many people just don't appreciate how the Rockets got Artest. They really didn't trade much to get the veteran, but I do think they are in the top 5.

I would take out Pistons and replace it with the 76ers. But we still don't even know that the 76ers will keep Andre Iguodala.

i dont think we hate them....remember last season when they won like 22 games in a row...they were the ESPN highlights. If  TMAC stays healthy and Yao keeps working on his low post and perhaps adding Artest..then they have a chance to win 4 games in a play off series..let's see.
