Why are people in California so in Love with In-N-Out Burger?

Okay, they're good, but not the "best" hamburger in God's creation. Come on. It's expensive and so similar to the Big Mac, including the sauce.

Ate there yesterday, and it was just ho-hum. Nothing remarkable. Nothing special. h**l, for the price, the Jumbo Jack is so much better.

  1. Can you get grilled onions on a Jumbo Jack? Are the freis made fresh at Jack in the Box? Can you get shakes so thick that you really need a spoon? I think not, In-N-Out is what McD's used to be back in the day, just a burger joint. Not fancy $6.00 burgers, no chicken tenders/breast or pieces. Just burgers, fries and a drink. And if you don't know about the "secret" menu, then you're really missing out, items such as the Animal. the 4x4, and a protien style burger.

  2. First of all it's not expensive. I haven't been in a while due to Weight Watchers but I think getting a double double with fries and a coke for under seven bucks is pretty d**n reasonable. Also, it's delicious and fresh! And I'm super insulted that you would even compare their burger to the Big Mac, which is pretty d**n disgusting. Shame! lol

  3. For me it's the overall quality and flavor. It's hard to beat a double double with grilled onion and being able to order it protein style if I'm trying to watch my carb intake. It's just a great product and friendly staff making it.

  4. Because the Burgers are higher quality

  5. because it's never frozen and better quality.  it tastes nothing like Big Mac or Jumbo Jack!

  6. Sometimes you just want some good, greasy meat.  I find In-and-Out burgers taste less like they've been sitting for hours under a heat lamp.

  7. I think Californians have a reputation for liking things that are extra special.  The fact is, In-N-Out is not a national chain, so you can't get it if you're not on the west coast.  Also, celebrities admit to going there (although they also admit to indulging in McDonald's) so that's just one more reason to make it "special"

  8. I no longer live in Ca, but lastime I ate at in and out it wasn't any more expensive than than any other burger joint. they are just a great burger and I have never seen a minimum of ten cars deep in a drive through at McDonald's no matter what time of day

  9. Comparing a Big Mac and Jumbo Jack to a Double Double?    Sacrilege!!!  You probably think TAB taste exactly like Diet Coke, that Going Green means wearing a green shirt, that hybrid cars are transformers...

Next time you eat at In and Out at least have the courtesy of taking off your Jack In the Box uniform.

  10. Are you sure you ate at an In 'n' Out?

A Double/Double is NOTHING like a Big Mac.

I think Carl's Jr has 'em all beat with their charbroiled burgers.
