Why are people mad that the Jonas Brothers covered a Beatles song for a commercial?

In the old Target commercial a random lady was singing it.

No one cared that she was,

but now JB does it and it's like a big deal. I am a Jonas fan, but not one of those clueless ones. I KNOW THE BEATLES ARE BETTER, I'M NOT DUMB.

but yeah, why was everyone in an outrage that they covered that song?

[keep in mind that one of their "rules" is never perform a Beatles song because they know they can't measure up to it.]

they did the commercial becuase target sponsors camp rock. and u r right when they had some lady singing it no one freaked out.

Because that is like when Avril Lavigne did a SOAD song. She embarassed her self and that song. She has not right to murder good music and neither do they.

The Beatles did it right the first time. You can't have artistic expression with if its covered it HAS to sound EXACTLY the same.

exactly! the jonas brothers are so great and have so many fans. if they would get mad at anyone for re-doing it you would think it'd be the random lady since she's not a real artist

i just thought it was a really bad cover. that 'random lady' could sing well... the jonas brothers, not so much.

Because JB are some Disney band and The Beatles are one of the best bands ever. And now JB fans are saying they are better than The Beatles. Plus no-one cared about the woman singing cos she wasnt famous....The Beatles are on of those bands that shouldnt be covered like Queen.
