  1. More dole money in Oz than NZ

  2. Australia and New Zealand share a free trade zone.  New Zealanders are mainly moving to Australia for economic reasons. The Australian economy has always been stronger than New Zealands.  The mining boom has made the difference even greater.  The free trade zone makes it simple for New Zealanders to migrate across with their families to whereever work is available.   It also helps that both governments offer the same government benefits (job assistance, pensions etc) to migrants from each country that they would offer their own citizens.  Becoming a permanent resident is also much easier for someone from New Zealand than from other countries of the world.

  3. its not cheaper than NZ, in fact its the opposite. But you earn way more money here and ther are more job opportunities, the cost of living is increasing everywhere property prices are definitely cheaper in NZ than here, petrol is a little bit more expensive in NZ but if you work out the exchange rate on,y by about 5 or 10 cents a litre. Im a kiwi and the reason i moved to aus was for money, same with alot of people i know, more jobs more money more opportunity

  4. Simple.....its cheaper here than NZ

  5. more opportunities are offered here in australia than in new zealand.
