Why are people being idiots and throwing cans on the track?!

Soon NASCAR will ban coolers from being brought to the track and we will die of thirst!

Heres a vid:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ib6lwZ6wRs

Not just with gordon though...

Scroll down a little and click"Watch in high quility".

It looks better.

  1. I think anyone who throws beer cans on the track should have a hand chopped off. Personally, I never waste beer.

  2. They're not liking it.

But now, Gordon is off the hook for now, and Kyle Busch is the one getting cans throwned and shouted, and booed.

  3. Banning coolers won't make a difference.  They still have concession stands that sell plenty of beer and soda.  One year at Daytona they threw seat cushions that were given away by a sponsor on the track.

  4. I know what you mean and the people that are doing that are going to ruin it for all the other people bringing coolers and stuff into the race.  I believe in passion for your driver and stuff but that is just downright vicious behavior.

  5. I say ban alcohol at Nascar races

  6. Yeah it does upset me a whole lot.  Booing and cheering doesn't hurt anyone but throwing cans (and last year a ice chest) on the track is going to hurt a lot of people...the fans! Those of us who love the sport and have enough respect for any of the drivers NOT to throw anything.

That being said the only thing I ever threw was last weekend.  I threw a fit when Elliot Sadler and Denny Hamlin crashed on the 17th lap.  *sniff*

  7. Throwing beer cans at the winner I.e Gordon or Busch usually happened when they broke a wins record (gordon passing Senior) or took their driver out of the race (busch vs Jr) I know that not all Earnhardt fans are beer swilling alcohol rednecks but those that are give the rest a bad name  I remembe Gordon's interview after he tied Earnhardt for wins He said he got more dents in the car from the beer cans than from the actual race

  8. Yeah,I agree that people who throw their cans and such onto the race track are being immature and disrespectful to NASCAR,the track staff, and their fellow fans(however,I do admire their passion). Also,I don't see how anyone in the world could want to waste a perfectly good beer on a driver they don't like!!!!I was at the Coca-Cola 600 a couple of weeks ago and this guy got arrested(rightfully)for throwing a beer onto the track while the race was still going on!!!wtf?IDIOTS

  9. Well least they're passionate. But still throwing cans is disrespectful as well as dangerous. Some tracks have already established a rule that if you are caught throwing cans you would be escorted from the premises and banned for life.

  10. Yes, this form of alcohol abuse and wanton waste must be stopped!  Anyone caught throwing full cans of beer should be made to buy a round for everyone in their row or be banned from whatever track they are at for life, no exceptions.  That would put an end to this foolishness.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  11. The first time it was because NASCAR made a bad call and ended the race under caution. That was justified, but since then it has just been about idiots being themselves.

  12. people are idiots. nascar should ban coolers from being brought to races because everytime someone they don't like wins, they litter the track with beer cans, and most of the time they are full beer cans that could damage a car or even worse, the person throwing the can, could have a bad aim and hit someone in the stands.

  13. well, when i went to the coca cola 600 i saw a big sign that said:

"DO NOT THROW ANYTHING ON THE TRACK OR YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE"

i don't know if it's the same for all tracks. they are stupid, they must want to get banned...

  14. I guess that's there way to actually show the driver that they are not happy that he won!

  15. because they are drunk and dont like gordon:P. who does?

  16. It's nuts at the track, every race, no matter who wins.  It really only takes one fool to throw a beer can on the track.  The real idiots are the ones who choose to be the followers.

  17. Everybody needs to quit crying about this...if the fans WANTED to hurt someone, they would peg their target once they're out of the car (while in the middle of a pathetic bow, etc...).  As long as they are throwing at the car...what's it hurt?  These guys wreck these things at 200mph and don't get hurt...a little aluminum can isn't going to hurt anyone.  If the fans can't get passionate and show their displeasure, why even attend?

  18. 11 fans were banned from the track for life after that race. Probably happened a few more times this year too, because I've seen beer cans flying alot recently.
