  1. 1.  The US is last in the world in science.  2.  This is the country where a lot of people believe the world is going to end on 12/12/2012.

    3.  People in the US don't speak English very well.  They think "theory" means guess.

    4.  They argue for fun.

    5.  They are afraid that they will be forced to give up their glutonous lifestyle.

  2. If you believe global warming is real, can you tell us if it will be warmer or colder in the future, and could you show us your work to how you came to your conclusion?

Somehow I think you, or anyone else, won't be able to.

  3. Not that the warming of the earth is fake...but that the IDEA that man contributes in a significant amount, or can decline to contribute in an amount significant to prevent global warming.  For instance the earth was once in an ice age; The sun goes through cooling and heating phases that contribute to the temperature on hundred year intervals; volcanic eruptions contribute more to greenhouse gasses in one eruption than most countries; trees, specifically rain forests release more co2 naturally at night than cars. though true that burning the trees releases more co2 than they would naturally, NATURALLY they are the number one source of c02 at night, (and number one releaser of oxygen during the day.) HOWEVER politically there is  lot to be benifitted by touting global warming as a doable human project. So the "FAKE" lies (pun) somewhere between the cause and the effect that we can have on the earth vs the equitable political gain.  There are also MANY global politics that are at play here. You could read up. especially on restriction to the U.S. that other countries do not have to comply with.

  4. It is really annoying for someone to defend their argument against global warming by saying the earth has been cooling and warming for centuries .

    A. prove it

    2. man came on to the earthlike 4 days after it was created

    V. global warming doesn't dispute that there are geologic cycles, even climate cycles, but it does say that a main source of climate change  beyond natural cycles has arisen out of exhaust by factories, cars, etc.

  5. probably because it has happened many times before ... earth has gone through several ice ages and then global warming ages.. over time.. Also.. just a few years ago some of the same people were warning us of  a new ice age approaching.. who knows....??

  6. Some are honestly mistaken.  Others are conspiracy theorists who think everything is a conspiracy.

Many are Conservatives who take politics to great lengths.  If environmentalists, liberals, or worst, Al Gore say something it MUST be wrong, no matter how many scientists are saying it.

Thoughtful Conservatives are annoyed that this gives Conservatives a reputation for not acknowledging reality.  For example:

"Former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich challenged fellow conservatives to stop resisting scientific evidence of global warming"

"National Review (the most prestigious conservative magazine) published a cover story calling on conservatives to shake off denial and get into the climate policy debate"

"I believe there is now more than enough evidence of climate change to warrant an immediate and comprehensive - but considered - response. Anyone who disagrees is, in my view, still in denial."

Ford Motor Company CEO William Clay Ford, Jr.

With CO2 being the most important long term factor now, the long term future is warmer.  Weather will cause some short term fluctuations.

  7. Probably.  Global warming isn't fake, the reason(s) our loyal government is spewing is a load of B.S.  This planet has warmed and cooled tremendously for millions of years before man and it will for a long time after we're all gone.  Human beings did not cause "global warming".  That's why...

  8. Bias is an enemy of science.  Those that believe that there are no benefits to warming are biased.  Those that believe the gloom and doom scenarios you constantly read about are biased.  Global warming is real as is global cooling.  What is fake is people pretending to know that humans are responsible for the those trends.

  9. Mostly because they are afraid of paying more in taxes.

  10. Here is one of my previous posts. It is easier to repost than to retype. It can take awhile to get through, but I think you will learn a lot if you take the time to read the links. And I am guessing you to will be saying it is a hoax.

Hopefully the links will come through.

    Some interesting facts.

    1. During most of the past 2,000 years, the temp has been about the same or higher. Currently, we are barely over the average for the last 2,000 years.

    2. During the medieval warm period (820 – 1040 AD), Greenland supported farming. Those areas previously farmed are now covered in glaciers. Obviously the melting and reformation of glaciers is a cyclical occurrence.

    3. The earth experienced a little ice age which ended around the late 1860's or so. This is about the time man started recording temperatures. This would be like measuring a lake depth after a severe drought, then worrying about it flooding as it rose to normal levels.

    4. The earth has been warming for the last 10,000 years, since the last major glacier time period. Also, for most of the last 1 billion years, the earth had NO glaciers or ice coverage.

    5. The AGW theory states that CO2 is the primary driver of temperature. They arrived at this idea because they did not know of anything else which could cause it. But during the 70's and during the current decade, temperatures dropped while CO2 continued to rise. This means that natural occurrences are driving temp, not CO2.

    6. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation and sun spots provides a much better correlation to earths' temperature than CO2 levels ever have.

    7. Polar Bears are experiencing a population boom. Coke sales in the arctics are through the roof. Polar Bears have been around for thousands of years, and remember, we are only at the average for the last 2,000 years. They lived through all the previously warmer climates.

    8. The glaciers have been melting now for over 10,000 years. the current rate of melting is similar to previous melting.

    9. There is no consensus on AGW. This was a lie that has been propagated by the media.

    10. Yes we emit CO2 into the atmosphere and it is a greenhouse gas, but, we only contribute about .28% of all the greenhouse effect. Water vapor makes up about 95% of the greenhouse effect. CO2 and other trace gases round out the greenhouse gases at about 5% for all of them. Of that 5%, only 3% is CO2, and most of that is natural. Again, our contribution to the greenhouse effect is a paltry .28%

    11. The spread of disease is not attributed mainly to temperature. If this were the case, Florida would be a giant festering disease ridden cesspool. Economic standing is the primary determining factor in the spread of disease. Poor cultures can not fight the disease or eradicate the pests like more successful nations.

    12. Natural climate disasters (hurricanes, cyclones, etc) have never been scientifically linked to global warming (whether natural or man made).

  12. they don't want to believe that it is true...its much easier to say something doesn't exist than to try and prove that it does exist

  13. what warming would that be? & why would it be bad if it ever actually starts to happen?

    THINK!

  14. Because the world goes in cycles. I'll say it really easily,

The earth gets to be really hott, and then turns around and goes into an ige age. Right now some people believe that humans are wayyyy to small part of the envirorment. Some say we did more poluting hundreds of years ago. We only touch a small outter layer of the earth and can't nearly do enough damage to hurt the huge planet we live on.

Soo...they think it's just going in a cycle.

(I dont believe this fully, I'm just answering)

  15. BECAUSE SKEPTICISM IS EVERYWHERE AND ITS NORMAL, BUT IN MY BOOK MY THOUGHTS ARE MOST WHO SAY THIS LIVES AT HOME WITH MOMMY AND DADDY AND WHEN THEIR PARENTS DONT CARE, THEN THIS REVERTS TO THEIR CHILDREN AND THEY TO WONT ACCEPT THE FACTS OF LIFE. THEY LIVE IN A NICE CROWDED AREA WHERE IT HAS'NT AFFECTED THEM AS YET, BUT WHEN IT DOES AFFECT THEM, THEN THEY'LL BE HEARD AND OTHERS WILL TAKE THEIR PLACE.  THEY DONT READ ALL THESE Q/A'S IF THEY DID AND IT SINKS IN, THEN MAYBE THEY'LL WANT TO HELP DELETE IT.

  16. Well, maybe they're biblical literalists who think the world was made solely for humans and our consumption.  Maybe it's because in some places, it isn't getting warmer, which is why Climate Change is the more appropriate term.  Mostly, I think it's because most people don't want to make the necessary sacrifices to turn things around--denial is a powerful defense mechanism!
