yes in saudia it started on monday.

most people have started their fast on monday because that was the start date according to international sighting and scientific calculations, and also some local sighting.

and rest of the world who was following local sighting and didn't sight the moon sunday night have started their fasts on tuesday.

in South Africa we started on Monday 01 September. Eid is believed to be 01 Oct.

ly the strating of ramadan in the western countries such as in USA and Canada should be earlier than in the eastern countries because it is based on the movement of the moon which is starting from the west to the east The moon on this world is only one.and there is a time difference among the countries

May Allah guide us the right path,bless our good doings during ramadan and forgive all of our sins
