Why are people so against g*y marriage ?

Im not g*y and i really could care less if two g*y people got married. So what is up with people dedicating basically there life to stop g*y marriage? Did there spouse leave them for someone of the same s*x? lol

Good question.  In a free country if you can't have marriage for everyone then it shouldn't be for anyone and the government can just find another way to tax people.  

"It's just plain wrong" is a stupid argument.  What "It's just plain wrong" means is "I don't like THOSE people".  Well tough.  A persons sexuality is not my business, it's not the governments business and we should be worrying about more important things.  

Perhaps if Republicans had been worrying about the increasing price of oil instead of g*y marriage while they were in charge we wouldn't be in this mess.

A "majority" of people were against the civil rights act as well.  That certainly didn't make the majority correct.

When it comes to Homosexuality these are the FACTS: s*x MAIN reason is procreation, the most important function designed by Nature for survival of species, can't deny that!

It (in practical terms, and for any of you who are not educated in this discipline) states that in ANYTHING you may analyze (things made, peoples actions, etc)  there is a percentage that will be in error, fact as noted by the above formulas!

   And in the "sexual turn on wiring" of peoples brains, some of that “wiring” or “sexual programming” learned from childhood and adolescence (attraction, sexual response, etc) WILL be in error, meaning some will chose and will be attracted (“turned on”) by the wrong s*x for mating body function/urge, fact as noted by the above formulas of Statistics!

Now Biologically that relation between people having s*x with same s*x it will NEVER produce a kid...the REASON nature want us to have s*x to begin with...!

Some say "it is about love"...!

Well, I too love some of my male friends to death (great guys) BUT I do not want to have s*x with them, which is what homosexuality is, the incorrect sexual act between 2 individuals of the SAME s*x!!

Homosexuality is about to individuals of the SAME s*x having PHYSICAL sexual urges of mating with individuals of the SAME s*x! …Which is biologically wrong!

So no, it is NOT about the love feelings, but the PHYSICAL urges of mating with the same s*x individual(s)

So...no. No marriage for g**s.

It creates more confusion in our youth that is already lacking a proper education on even the most basic things as proper behavior and manners!

All we need is for one more incorrect thing to be added to the mix of the confusion they already have to deal with in this screwed up world we already live in!

Those who won't or can't are either insecure or overly religious.

People are afraid if their children see g*y marriages it will encourage them to follow suit, but really, think about yourself, could you be swayed to change your sexuality by other people if you don't already have the tendency?

And what about the fact that a number of their kids will turn out g*y anyway, so what will they feel rightious when they disown their kids that grow up to be g*y?  Don't they know that frequently g**s are the ones that help clean up some of the excessive mess left behind by straight people?  Often it's your g*y son or daughter who spends more time with you when you're elderly, but you still prefer their brother who's straight, even though he only calls when he needs a handout or a babysitter.

Most of the outrage is coming from the christian right based on their good book and their interpretations of Corinthians.

People should be able to voluntarily enter into contracts, especially when they don't affect third parties.  Sometimes conservatives can be just as bad with their nanny-state as liberals.

Marriage to begin with is a religious entity. It has been adopted by governments as a way to keep track of it's people. There is no reason to give the status of "married" to people that can't procreate. Also there is no reason for our government to endorse a behavior that the greatest majority of the citizens believe to be immoral.

If homosexuals want a coupling contract or whatever to get rights similar to those of married people have at it. Don't call it marriage, those of us with respect for the institution don't want ours equated to that of Liz Taylor much less two queens that have anal feelings for one another.
