Because stupid people are irritating, and they are a waste of space.

I think that the people that we are biased against would not

be classified as stupid but non caring and they do not

want to do things in a right way and they do  not care about other people and act like it is the other persons fault and  

act stupid actually act very immature and stubborn and

that we classifiy as stupid people ... now someone who

is born without the ability to learn i don't think people are

biased against them like what we call stupid people..

some people arent stupid they just think differently

and that scares them and there are just stupid or dont have common sense

There is often a disdain for people that may not be intelligent enough to be a functional member of society, and so such people treat them with less respect. Perhaps it is similar in packs where the weaker are left to die, or a question of outgroup bias - they do not want to be associated with what they perceive to be "less" in terms of intellect..
